Cult Leaders – part 1

It was not just the 2024 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) that inspired me to kick off a sequence of articles about cult leaders, but I have to admit that it would be fitting. The official theme of this year’s meeting – “Rebuilding Trust” – already opens questions about the state of this organization, how our world is presently governed, manipulated and exploited. A cult easily comes to mind, when one listens in and watches what gets spoonfed to us by the legacy circus media about the meeting of the 60 heads of state and 2800 international “leaders”.

According to vocabulary.com “cult” is defined as a system of religious beliefs and rituals, followers of an exclusive system of religious beliefs and practices, a religion or sect that is generally considered to be unorthodox, extremist, or false, followers of an unorthodox, extremist, or false religion or sect who often live outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader, an interest followed with exaggerated zeal.

Particularly fitting for the WEF are the last two points, the case could be made that we are dealing with a cult. In light of all that and the overall state of the world right now that does not seem to lack numerous cults and their subsequent “leaders” I thought it might be worth having a look at some birth charts of renowned cult leaders of the last century, what defines them and what they might have in common.
History certainly offers quite an array of individuals that fall into the category. Some are more focused on the spiritual spectrum, others aim more at the political arena. One thing both have in common – to be or have a cult you need followers and if no one follows there will be no cult. It is quite obvious that one side offers what the other seems to be lacking.

I have put together a set of charts that have apparently a reliable source for their birthtime. It mainly involves leaders from the “spiritual” spectrum since their birthdates are more recent. From the political spectrum I will have a closer look at A.Hitler’s chart, it would have been interesting to examine charts from some other political cult leaders as well, like Mao and Kim Jong jun. and sen., Lenin and Stalin, but the available birth times lack any form of certainty that the time of birth is approximating correctness.

Looking at the set of charts one thing is quite peculiar: none of these “leaders” I will examine has their Sun in a mundan second quadrant, meaning they are not born in Cancer, Leo or Virgo. At this point there is no specific astrological marker that I can detect to be a common denominator among them. Certainly everyone is differently laid out, which again is proof that a certain kind of, what Doebereiner once called “cookbook” (one constellation fits everyone of the same type) astrology does not work. Each chart is and has to be different since they all activate different angles, attract different “disciples” and all that in front of a background of different times. One thing that all these leaders, except one, share at some point – death is a companion either as part of their practices or as an outcome/result of their cult.

Similar to the once already examined quite intricate relationship between perpetrator and victim – one can not be without the other – the same seems to apply for these kinds of “leaders.” In the case of cults it is mainly about misappropriated truth (Q.4), which at the end gets distorted for their own personal benefit and enables them to elevate themselves above others. The same case could be made for the many religious prophets over the millennia. One would think that by now the pattern should be well known and people would not fall for these kinds of mechanisms anymore, but rather to the contrary.

Modern cults have replaced the old – influencer is on the top of the list of desired jobs for the 18 to 25 year olds. Isn’t that kind of modern consumerist priesthood just replacing the old religious caste? Or shouldn’t we ask us: is the appearance of the influencers just the mercantile appearance of the same kind of mechanism? Anyway I believe that we live in times that a gradually decaying spiritual assertiveness has been “welcomed” by the system and transformed to a more consumerist and political surrogate belief system, which seems to be omnipresent once you expose yourself to the online or media world of these days.

It all stems from a lack of a meaningful connection and certainty of the transcendental world. The present, mainly on the phenomenon focused, system creates a lot of void space in the domain of the spiritual, which longs to be filled with a certain degree of subjugation and devotion. Be it the Kardashians, the “Oscars”, the lastest diet zar or a new self proclaimed spiritual leader, the base of their followers usually tend to share certain trades or should we say shortcomings that unite them.

I once indirectly touched on that subject before, all those mechanisms are not a one way street and usually create implications for the messiases as well – see earlier article. I have so far not looked closer at the chosen “Cult Leader” charts yet, but I’m certain that they will demonstrate the misappropriation of truthful content that in most cases have led to tragic outcomes, for most even ending lethal for the “messiahs” themselves.

I will start the series of articles with the chart of Jim Jones – who is described by wikipedia as – an American cult leader and mass murderer who led the Peoples Temple between 1955 and 1978. In what he termed “revolutionary suicide”, a term he took from the novel by the same name by Huey Newton, Jones and the members of his inner circle planned and orchestrated a mass murder-suicide in his remote jungle commune at Jonestown, Guyana, on November 18, 1978. Jones and the events that occurred at Jonestown have had a defining influence on society’s perception of cults.
